We’ve been sort of quiet and introspective around here lately. Working on lots of projects, namely raising the greenhouse, as well as starting all the rounds of greens that will be planted in the hoophouse very soon! We’ve also been trying to get as much family time in while we can before markets start up again.
We’ve finished most of our crop planning for the year, ordered a lot of seed and should have a full greenhouse within weeks. The 2010 season has begun! We’ve also been harvesting spinach and carrots like there is no tomorrow. Josh pulled 1,000 pounds out of the ground this week destined for grocery stores, caterers and Pickled Planet. And the carrots are so sweet too. I love winter carrots.
We’re also spending a lot of time searching and interviewing for our 2010 crew. Lots of wonderful aspiring farmers out there.
Here’s our 2010 CSA brochure: 2010.CSA.brochure. Please let us know if you have questions. We look forward to growing more organic vegetables for the community this year.
I also wanted to mention and honor someone the food and farm community has recently lost in the Rogue Valley. Pasta Dave sold some of the best homemade pasta at market and was a fantastic person. He will be missed deeply. Thinking of you Dave!
